Would you like to develop and drive IT procurement strategy and category plans? Then you have the great opportunity to become the new IT Category Manager being responsible for all IT Group procurement and focusing on establishing IT procurement excellence across the globe. Physically you will be located close to the group IT community and to group CIO for this C25 company headquartered in Greater Copenhagen.

Main Responsibilities

• Spend responsibility: approx. 1,2 bn DKK
• Run IT: Cost savings projects via tenders, 7 sourcing steps, tool box etc. Generate cost savings on group behalf – including developing pipeline and business cases that can generate additional savings
• Maintaining a strategic group supplier development plan.
• Maintaining a positive relationship between the suppliers and the internal organization
• Continuous alignment of the IT procurement strategy against the IT overall strategy and roadmap i.e. promote IT vision and outcomes of Procurement approach
• Build IT: Overall support the Group CIO in developing a general IT roadmap
• Drive compliance on existing group agreements and re(negotiate)
• Develop and drive supplier relationship management – innovation
• Ensure standardization and optimization of operations in IT relevant for procurement
• Responsible for competence development of IT procurement community including potential assessment, talent development and succession planning
• As part of our excellence focus, being responsible for the development and implementation of IT procurement processes and tools (guidelines and direction)

Success criteria

• IT cost savings delivered from quality sourcing projects process and execution
• IT procurement community excellence: close alignment with Group CIO, Group IT, country IT (CIOs) and IT procurement stakeholders in countries
• IT operations and new development well supported by group procurement

Education and professional background

• Relevant commercial education within procurement and IT
• Experience with IT and procurement in relevant business areas (large projects)
• Solid experience with management of complex issues in MNCs
• Strong knowledge of the IT market (SW, HW, Integrators, Cloud, As A Service suppliers) and it’s MT/LT trends
• Experience with IT innovation and development to challenge IT

Qualifications

• Strategically well-grounded with capability to transmit strategy to operation
• Proven track record in successful project management capabilities
• Experienced negotiator and contracting capacity to build and maintain long-lasting and profitable relationships
• Relationship builder to drive country support
• Experience with navigating on top management level
